We were honored to be asked to work with such a renowned institution as Caltech, whom we helped to revive a pre-pandemic in-person event at the university.
The event — dubbed Discovery Caltech — was billed as a curated, immersive experience showcasing the pioneering and unprecedented research taking place at Caltech.
We worked with event planning staff to develop multiple initial design directions to consider, creating mock-ups to allow the team to more fully see the brand in use as would be at the actual event.
This being the first in-person event Caltech had hosted since the pandemic, they wanted to impress upon their audience the importance and significance of it in the branding and — especially — their print invitation.
Working closely with Caltech’s printer in California, we used the final event brand we developed to create an invitation that featured a tri-fold layout with a raised high-gloss spot coating that ran along the graph-like lines and orange ‘D’ shape.
In addition to the print invitation, we extended the event brand to a digital save-the-date, an event website we created for the client with customized collapsible content, print & digital signage, event take-aways, and templates for Caltech’s event team to use as needed.
